She was predeceased by: her parents, Homer Deevers and May Deevers (Stevens); and her husband William Horton. She is survived by: her daughters, Holly Horton of Algonquin, Peggy Hieber (Mike) of Dunlap and Amy Rakow of Charleston, IL. She is also survived by four grandchildren; and four great-great grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Neighborhood House, TAPS or Northminster Presbyterian Church.
