He is survived by: his children, Alicia Smith, Daniel Smith of Lehigh Acres, FL and Eric Hines of Peoria, IL; his siblings, James Smith of Peoria, Hargie Smith Jr. of Peoria, Kevin Smith (Michelle) of Peoria, Greg MacNeary of Peoria, Winnie Elmore, Rosie Smith of Peoria, IL, Brenda Clark of Las Vegas, NV and Linda Jones of Detroit, Michigan; and his cousin Tanya Davis. He is also survived by five grandchildren, five great grandchildren, and many loving nieces, nephews.
