He was predeceased by: his father Attorney Ross Erskine Canterbury; his stepfather William "Bill" Mehlenbeck; his grandparents, Dr. John Ross, Audrey Canterbury, Willard Deming and Marion Lewis; and his aunts, Constance LaMonte, Catherine Lewis, Marion Lewis and Jan Canterbury Kaspar.
He is survived by: his mother Caroline Lewis Canterbury; his wife Tish Albert Canterbury; his stepmother Susan Canterbury; his stepdaughter Chloe Shaffer (Tyler); his stepgranddaughter Ila; his brother Clay Deming Canterbury (Kim); his nieces and nephews, Clay II and Cathrine; his aunts, Linda Lewis and Jill Wahfeld (John B.); and his cousins, Rachel LaMonte, Christine Selzer, Jonathan Selzer, Zachary Maricondia, Christopher Wahfeld, Jeffrey Wahfeld, Sarah Hyde Kaspar and Emily Butenhoff.
Visitation was held on Saturday, January 11th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Wilton Mortuary (2101 Knoxville Ave, Peoria, IL 61603).
