It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jessie James Shorty of Peoria, Illinois, born in Inverness, Mississippi, who passed away on March 27, 2022, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Frank Shorty and Signora Shorty (Wilson); and his sisters, Pearlie Black and Armanda Coleman. He is survived by: his children, Israel Alexander and Rasonya Shorty-Smith (Michael); and his siblings, John Shorty (Dorothy), Daisy Shorty of Peoria, IL, Willie DuBose of Peoria, IL and Dorothy Fox (Myron) of Peoria, IL.
