Jean Carr Obituary

It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Jean Carr of Peoria, Illinois, who passed away on January 3, 2022, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Joseph Cederquist and Ardith Cederquist (Gibson); and her husband James P. Carr. She is survived by: her children, James Carr of Peoria and Julie Evans (Scott) of Washington; her grandchildren, Tyler Evans of Peoria Heights and Cameron Evans of Washington; and her sister Joyce Seyforth of Lansing, IL. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.

The family requests in lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Peoria County Animal Protection Services (PCAPS) where her love for animals was never ending.

“Dear Julie and Jim and family, I am sorry for the loss of your mother. She was my much loved friend and I will miss her very much. I am glad we got to talk just before she had to go to the hospital. We reminisced about how much fun we used to have and about how maybe we would get to the boat again someday. Our friendship was a blessing to me. I loved her and will miss her.
