It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Janis Rae Hauptly of Peoria, Illinois, who passed away on January 14, 2025, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Janis Rae Hauptly to pay them a last tribute.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Ernest Blackburn and Clara Blackburn (Baker); her husband Charles W. Hauptly; her sons, Stephen W. Hauptly and Mark D. Hauptly; and her sister Priscilla A. Mangan.

She is survived by: her children, Sharon R. Fugman (Joel) and David R. Hauptly (Debra C.); her granddaughters, Jennifer Turnbow (Tallyn), Tiffany Hauptly (James Salzman) and Michelle Ferguson (Joe); and her great grandchildren, Willow, Elias, Zoe, Kali, Ezra and Emry.

A graveside service will be held on Monday, January 20th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the Parkview Cemetery (2021 N University St, Peoria, IL 61604).

Memorials can be made to Bethany Baptist Church in Edwards, Illinois.
