Gloria Christian Obituary
Peoria – Gloria C. Christian, 88, of Peoria passed away on Tuesday March 8, 2022 at Proctor Hospital. She was born September 18, 1933 in Peoria, Il to Cecil and Florence Baer. She married Robert D. Finn October 9, 1954 in Peoria.
She is survived by 8 children: Debbie Rummel of Delavan, Il., Kevin (Sherry) Finn of Goshen, In., Ralph Finn of Corvallis OR., Terri Finn of Peoria Hgts, Il., Twin daughters Jean and Jan Finn of Lincoln, IL., Mary Beth (Jim) Albrecht of Woodhull, IL. and Tony (Heidi) Finn of Kewanee, IL., 15 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by first husband Robert Finn and second husband Thomas Reynolds and third husband Robert Christian and daughter Carol Picl. She was also preceded in death by her brothers, Edward Baer and Mike Baer and sisters Marianne O'Donnell and Sister Cecile Baer.
She graduated from the Academy of Our Lady in 1951.
She enjoyed raising and spending time with her children and grandchildren. She was a member of the Knights of Columbus Ladies Auxiliary and Catholic Women's League where she served on the board as an officer.
A visitation will be on Friday, March 11, 2022 from 4 to 6 PM at Wright & Salmon Mortuary, with recitation of the rosary at 3:15 PM.
Funeral Mass will be held Saturday, at 11:00 AM at St. Philomena Catholic Church, with Fr. David Richardson officiating. Further visitation will be 1 hour prior to the mass on Saturday.
Memorials may be made to. Special Olympics or The National Ovarian Cancer Coalition.(NOCC).
