George Edward Schmidt Obituary
With solemn reverence, we commemorate George Edward Schmidt of Peoria, Illinois, whose life came to an end on April 7, 2025 at the age of 87, leaving behind cherished memories. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John Edwin "Jack" Schmidt and Oletha Schmidt (Marilyn); and his brother Larry. He is survived by: his wife Marilyn Schmidt (Traub); his children, Daniel Schmidt (Judy), Anne Schmidt and Stephen Schmidt (Robin); his grandchildren, Maxwell, Ella Schmidt, Olivia, Joel and Makayla Schmidt; his brother John; and his grandchildren, Zachary and Bethany Zwart.
Visitation was held on Monday, April 14th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Tuesday, April 15th 2025 at 9:00 AM at the Grace Presbyterian Church (8607 IL-91, Peoria, IL 61615). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, April 15th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
Memorials in Ed's honor may be made to Grace Presbyterian CHurch or St Jude Midwest Affiliate.
