Frederick L. Gruss Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Frederick L. Gruss of Peoria, Illinois, who passed away on October 27, 2024, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Frederick has departed this earthly realm, his legacy endures — a legacy of love that will continue to illuminate the lives of family and friends in the darkest of hours. May his spirit soar on wings of eternal peace, forever cherished in the tender embrace of memory.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Louis Gruss and Hazel Gruss; his wife Minnie Shea; his son Douglas; his grandson Ben; and his brother Carl.
He is survived by: his daughter Laurie Biery (Jim) of Dunlap, IL; and his grandchildren, Sarah Whitley (Samantha) of Tomahawk, WI, Amy Magner (Dustin) of Bartonville, IL and Brooke Gruss of Chillicothe, IL.. He is also survived by four great-grandchildren.
A graveside service was held on Friday, November 8th 2024 from 11:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the Springdale Cemetery (3014 N Prospect Rd, Peoria, IL 61603).
