We are sad to announce that on July 11, 2024, at the age of 101, Florence Marie Mabee of Peoria, Illinois, born in Mackinaw, Illinois passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Samuel Landes and Elsie Landes (Schmidt); her spouse Thomas W. Mabee; and her sons, Thomas William and David Bradley Mabee.

She is survived by: her children, Mary Cunningham (David) of Peoria and John Mabee (Lori) of Peroia; and her grandchildren, Taryn Condo (Patrick), Brad Finn (Jen), Scott Mabee (Sarah), John Mabee, Ashlee Presley (Kelly), Chris Welsh (Aimee), Katy Wendling (Mark), Lindsey Snyder (Shane) and Jillian Pratt. She is also survived by 13 great-grandchildren.

“Mrs. Mabee was my mentor when I worked in the Peoria High library, as a student worker. I remember her so fondly! Years later, she became a table mate and fried of my mother's,vehicle they both resided at at Buehler Home.. She was always very sweet to me and genuinely interested in the people around her her. I will remember her always. My sympathies to her family.”
