It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Era Yates of Peoria, Illinois, born in Duncan, Oklahoma, who passed away on October 30, 2024, at the age of 92, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Ely Nelson Toops and Minnie Lula Boone; her brother Robert Toops; and her grandsons, Mark Russell, Jr. and Seth Russell.
She is survived by: her children, Valerie Stephens of Frederick, CO, Audrey Archer of Meldrim, GA and David Brown of Chicago; her grandchildren, Luke Russell, Bethany Yurek, Erin Davis, Colin McNamar, Daniel McNamar, Adam Brown and Kyle Brown; and her siblings, Nadine Anderson, Nelson Toops, Carol Sheehy, Richard Toops and Ronald Toops. She is also survived by six great-grandchildren.
