She was predeceased by: her parents, James Shumate and Ornnie Shumate; her son John Gibbs; and her siblings, Sammie Shumate, William Shumate, Pearlena Harper and Clara Harris.
She is survived by: her children, Anthony Parker (Lisa) of Peoria, Jennifer Henning of Phoenix City, AL and Vanessa Woods (Jarvis) of Peoria; and her sister Vera Washington.
