It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Eddie James Lewis Sr. of Peoria, Illinois, born in Covington, Tennessee, who passed away on June 8, 2024, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Eddie D. Lewis and Sallie Lewis (Woods); and his sister Ruby Lee Austin. He is survived by: his children, Tonette Lewis Oliver, Antonio Lewis, Mariema Lewis, Tina Lewis, Tisha Lewis, Eddie Lewis Jr., Ricky Lewis, Eric Woodson, Bianca Woodson, Rufaro and Tendai. He is also survived by grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
