She was predeceased by: her parents, Herman August "Gus" and Sena Meyer (Johnson); her former husband Duane Traver; her son David Traver (Wendy); and her siblings, Anna Boswell, Seebo Meyer and Deloris Shoemaker.
She is survived by: her husband Doc; her son Michael Traver; her daughter-in-law Heide Fehr; her son Tim (Jane); her stepchildren, Dr. Robert Farner, Charlie (Colette) and Farner (Bloomington); and her niece Lisa Suydam. She is also survived by nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews, and a great many grandchildren, step-grandchildren, and great- and great-great-grandchildren.
A funeral service was held on Saturday, November 16th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the Swan Lake Memory Gardens (4601 W War Memorial Dr, Peoria, IL 61614).
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, a memorial in Dorothy's honor be made to OSF Home Health or to Alzheimer's Association.
