With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Donald S. Lewellen of Peoria, Illinois, born in Olney, Illinois, who passed away on September 29, 2023 at the age of 89. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Stephen Sylvester and Bernadine Lewellen (Hahn); his wife Janet; his sons, Steve Lewellen (Bev) and Stuart Lewellen (Chris); his grandchildren, Andrew, Benjamin Lewellen, Christine Lewellen-Polhemus, Sarah Wutzke and Megan DeClercq; his great grandchildren, Samuel Lewellen, Natalie, Caleb, Sophia Wutzke and Rowan DeClercq; and his brothers, Robert Lewellen (Ann) and Gary Lewellen. He was also cherished by 4 sons and 1 daughter and several grand and great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that you contribute to animal rescues or shelters in your area in his honor.
