He was predeceased by: his parents, John Powers and Mary Powers (Cramer); his wife Patricia Cummings; his son Michael; his grandson David; and his brother Jack.
He is survived by: his children, Christopher Powers (Marilou) of Galesburg, Betsy Thies (Mark) of Spokane, Washington and Amy Klein (Russell) of Metamora; his daughter-in-law Julie Powers of Azusa, California; his grandchildren, Adam (Mary Grayce), Emily, Jacob (Jacqueline), Carlotta, Collum, Charlie and Vincent; his great grandchildren, Lily and Eleanor; and his brothers, Tom of Carlsbad and Steve Powers (Nan) of Dunlap, Illinois..
Visitation was held on Friday, December 20th 2024 from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. Thomas Catholic Church (904 E Lake Ave, Peoria Heights, IL 61616). A funeral Mass was held on Friday, December 20th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A graveside service was held on Friday, December 20th 2024 at 2:30 PM at the Glendale Cemetery (301 Walnut St, Washington, IL 61571).
