He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Whiteman and Lillian Whiteman (Potter). He is survived by: his wife Patricia Whiteman; his daughter Jennie Nowacki (Stefan); his grandchildren, Ryan, Allison and Madeline; his brother David Whiteman (Maryanne); and his nephews, Kirk Whiteman and Toby Whiteman of Illinois.

Memorials may be given to the National Law Enforcement Officers Memorial Fund or A Plus Hospice Care, Reno, NV and sent to the funeral home.
