He was predeceased by: his parents, Fannie Mae and Andrew Payton Sr.. He is survived by: his children, Reginald Laney (Reggie), Shalandra Burch (Albert), Keyiara Laney and Alyssa Laney; and his siblings, Elbert, Andrew, Steven, Gregory Billups, Willie Mae Laney, Annie Mae Payton and Coral Douglas (Andrew). He is also survived by fourteen grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
A memorial service was held on Saturday, April 5th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Sovereign Grace Missionary Baptist Church (1505 W Martin St, Peoria, IL 61605).
