“RIP Leon. We grew up together and I will never forget you. 51 years ago we were young kids playing at Kickapoo creek, I slipped and went in and was drowning, because of your quick thinking and actions I am alive today. Not everyone can have a hero, but you have been mine since that fateful day. Although life took us in different directions and we lost touch I am so grateful we reconnected recently and I was able to share what you have meant to me, my personal hero. I hope to see you someday on the other side.”
