With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Carrol Ben Freitag of Peoria, Illinois, born in Fairbury, Nebraska, who passed away on July 17, 2023 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Ida Freitag (Rolff) and Carl Freitag; and his siblings, Leon (Cathy) Freitag (Mapleton) and Virlene (Dean) Beck. He is survived by: his wife Bonita "Bonnie" A. Ball; his sons, Tim and Todd Freitag (Carole) of Aurora; his daughter-in-law Denise Freitag (DeLorme) of Morton; his grandchildren, Christian, Natalie Freitag of Aurora, Brendan Freitag (Alicia) of Springfield and Devin Freitag (Kelsey) of Springfield; his great grandchildren, Wesley of Springfield, August of Springfield, Hayden of Springfield and Maverick of Springfield; and his siblings-in-law, Cathy Freitag (Leon) of Mapleton and Norman Ball (Judith) of Belvidere.
