She was predeceased by: her parents, James Edward and Cora VanBeuning Atkinson; and her brother William "Bill" Atkinson. She is survived by: her former husband William N. Schaub; her granddaughters, Brittany Schaub of Wisconsin and Jennifer Coffman (Spencer) of Iowa; and her sisters, Janice Fritsch of Peoria and Darlene Carter of Florida.
She asked that memorials be made to PAWS, as she shared her home with three cats plus fed all the neighborhood strays.
