She was predeceased by: her parents, Young Shears and Annie Shears (Littles); her son Robert "Kenneth" Barber; and her grandsons, Niles Alexander and Asante King.
She is survived by: her daughters, Debra Standley of Peoria and Vanessa Purnell of Peoria; her grandchildren, Brandon Standley of Peoria, Andre Barber (Tanisha) of Peoria, Rain Smith of Peoria and Riyah Marshall of Peoria; her nephew Archie Shears; and her close friend Cheryl Ellis. She is also survived by great grandchildren, nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends.
