He was predeceased by: his parents, James William Arthur and Margaret "Marie" Cox (Thomas); and his siblings, Paul, Roy, Vern, Glenn, James Cox, Alberta Harrell, Dorothy Farmer, Betty Huston, Helen Cox, Ruth Thompson and Irene Cox.
He is survived by: his children, Joel Cox (Helen) of Marshall, Virginia, Christopher Cox of Newark, Kerry "James" Cox of Littleton and Angela Cox of Normal, IL; and his sister Delores Jean Theede of Michigan. He is also survived by his children and grandchildren.
