He was predeceased by: his parents, Marie Jackson and Liston; his daughter Carolyn Jackson; his wife Eva Jackson (Hunn); his siblings, Ernest Jackson, Jessie McDonald and Dollie Creswell; and his stepson Kenny Hunn.

He is survived by: his former wife Annie Pate; his sons, Norman Jackson (Holly) of Des Moines, IA and Patrick Jackson of Peoria; his adoptive daughter Tasha Kinney of Lakeland, FL; his stepchildren, Lewis Pate of Peoria, Michelle Yates of Peoria, Felicia Kyulule (John) of Peoria, LaShauna Gordon (Tim) of Peoria, Reginald Hunn of Peoria, Arnold Hunn of Indianapolis, IN and Lester Hunn of Atlanta, GA.; and his siblings, Bunion Jackson, Jr. of Peoria and Mary Robinson of Peoria. He is also survived by grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.

Visitation was held on Saturday, April 5th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Pentecostal Church of Jesus Christ (401 Elm St, Peoria, IL 61605). A funeral service was held on Saturday, April 5th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
