With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Karla Schmidt of Peoria Heights, Illinois, born in Peoria, Illinois, who passed away on September 26, 2021 at the age of 64. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Karl J. Schmidt and Vonda L. Schmidt (Umdenstock); and her brother Dennis Schmidt. She is survived by: her children, Shay Clark of Washington, IL, Jake Backes of East Peoria, IL and Ashley Backes of Germantown Hills, IL; her grandchildren, Lillian Clark, Averie Clark and Jaxson Backes; and her sister Becky Dailey (Jim) of Metamora. She is also survived by her grandchildren and her beloved friends.
