It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joyce Electa Whitney (Peoria Heights, Illinois), born in Ypsilanti, Michigan, who passed away on December 24, 2023, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, David Stillman and Lucy Pearl Lawrence (Richards); her husband John Ash Whitney; and her brothers, Richard and Russell Lawrence.
She is survived by: her children, Dick Whitney (Mari) of Mason City, IL and Lucy Schreiber of Washington, IL. She is also survived by six grandchildren, twelve great-grandchildren and three nieces.
Memorials may be made to Heartland Festival Orchestra or the William Watson Scholarship Fund, at St. Thomas school.
