He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Koehler and Catherine Koehler (Gilhuly); his wife Dolores F. Dixon; and his children, John C. Koehler Jr. and Rhonda Tipton.
He is survived by: his children, Vickie Houchin (Devin) of Peoria, Shelly Brodine (Dan) of Elmwood, Debbie Anthony (Clayton) of Chillicothe and Randy Beckman (Casey) of Chillicothe. He is also survived by 12 grandchildren, and 17 great grandchildren.
