We are sad to announce that on March 16, 2023 we had to say goodbye to Elijah Thorne Sansom of Peoria Heights, Illinois. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Carrie Ethel Sansom (Scales) of Clarksdale and Elijah "Rock" Sansom of Laurel. He is survived by: his wife Diane Gantt; his children, Jessonya Ravelle Fitzpatrick (Anthony), Natasha Anée Sansom and Elija Kamal Sansom (Shanna); his grandchildren, Jazmyn, DeVonte', Jocelyn, Jayla, Tavon, Jelena, Jessica, Elias, Eliott and Elianna; his great grandchildren, Jonathan, Jaya, Jayde and Jayceon; his sisters, Sandra Harrison, Pamela Brown, Lorna Whitfield and Linda Rice; and his pet Josephine.
Due to Covid-19, social distancing is encouraged to be consistent with recommendations from the National Funeral Directors Association (NFDA), funeral home directors have been instructed and should follow CDC guidelines on gatherings, including those directly related to funerals, visitations, or graveside services. In an effort to mitigate the spread of COVID-19, we ask that everyone in attendance: wear a face mask and refrain from hugging, kissing and shaking hands (as hard as it is to see someone you care about and not touch them).
