It is with great sadness that we announce the death of William Ray Craig of Pekin, Illinois, born in Peoria, Illinois, who passed away on May 1, 2023, at the age of 66, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, James William and Minnie Elizabeth Craig (Holmes); his siblings-in-law, Woodrow and Kathryn Cottingham; and his nephew Alan Matheny.
He is survived by: his wife Lora Cottingham; his sons, Ryan Craig of Pekin, Jason Craig of Pekin and Nathan Craig (JennyLynn) of Pekin; his sister Wanda DeMent (Barry) of Elmwood; his siblings-in-law, Bernice Hartman of Pekin, Raymond Cottingham (Walter Ogle) of Peoria and Roy Cottingham of Pekin; and his nieces and nephews, Anita Matheny (Kris Crotz) of Peoria, John Matheny of Peoria, Joanna Matheny of Peoria, Laura Lawrence (Jason) of Elmwood, Josh DeMent (April) of Biggsville and JaeLee DeMent (Khao Toum) of Elmwood. He is also survived by great-great nieces and nephews and several cousins.
