He was predeceased by: his brother Herbert. He is survived by: his wife Sally Stephens; his sons, John Gardner (Amy), Michael Gardner (Lisa) and David Gardner (Laura); and his grandchildren, Alec Gardner (Lauren), Cara Gardner, Bennett, Brooks, Noah and Owen Gardner.
