He was predeceased by: his parents, William Lane and Audrey Lane (Fisher); his son Michael Sams; his grandson Adam Vaughn; his great grandchild Lestat Gandy; his son-in-law Michael Davidson; and his brother-in-law Norton Hardin.
He is survived by: his wife Judith K. Jones-Weese; his children, Melinda Smith (John) of Washington, Thomas Lane, Jr. (Dawn) of Danvers, Anthony Lane (Melanie) of Peoria, Andrew Lane (Tiffany) of East Peoria, Kaydon Lane of Pekin, Janet Davidson of Manito, Scott Winchell of Pekin, Melissa Vaughn of Pekin and Becky Lane of Pekin; his siblings, Judy Hardin of Pekin, Linda Kibler of Pekin and Bill Lane (Sandy) of Colorado; and his half-brother Gary Lane.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, May 17th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the Paul Towne Memorial (660 Radio City Dr, North Pekin, IL 61554).
Memorial contributions may be given to the family to help offset cost.
