She was predeceased by: her father James N. "Ink" Thomas; her granddaughter Taryn Jean Bowman; and her sister Kathy Pearson. She is survived by: her mother Della Thomas (Antonini); her husband John L. Bowman; her sons, Jerry Bowman (Shawn) and John P. Bowman (Nicole); her grandchildren, Kelsa Bowman of Peoria, Elli Bowman of Peoria, John Brandon Bowman (Hailey Weideman) of Peoria, Lakyn Bowman (Kody Kail) of Jackson and Logyn Bowman of Columbus, Ohio.; her great grandchildren, Lyla Bowman and Valentino Graham III; her brother Gordon Thomas (Linda) of Hopedale; and her siblings-in-law, Howard Pearson of Pekin, Diana Higgs (Brian DeWitt) of Pekin and Larry Bowman (Cathy) of Pekin. She is also survived by nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
A rosary was held on Monday, April 14th 2025 at 3:15 PM at the Henderson Funeral Home & Crematory (2131 Velde Dr, Pekin, IL 61554). Visitation was held on Monday, April 14th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Henderson Funeral Home (2131 Velde Dr, Pekin, IL 61554). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Tuesday, April 15th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Joseph Catholic Church (303 S 7th St, Pekin, IL 61554).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to Angel Flight, Wounded Warriors, or St. Jude Children's Hospital—causes close to Steph's heart.
