It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Sharon Rose Young of Pekin, Illinois, who passed away on January 19, 2025, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Sharon Rose Young to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Chester Arthur Coats and Florence Helen Coats (Shreve); her husband Dwight W. Young; her son Allan; and her granddaughter Kristen.
She is survived by: her children, Ronnie L. Young of Canton, Terry L. Young (Diana) of Glasford, Tracy D. Young (Jacqueline) of Glasford and Hollye C. Herndon of East Peoria; her grandchildren, Melissa, Mark, Erika, Tera, Luke, Kaci, Kaitlyn, Arianna, Alanni, Bethany, Matthew and Rachel; her great grandchildren, Hailye, Logan, Brylee, Parker, Cooper, Kylor, Turner, Grady, Tennisyn, Hayden, Merisa and Darion; and her sisters, Sara Jane Moore (Jess) of Joliet and Joyce Shafer (Marvin) of Glasford. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 24th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:30 AM at the Glasford United Methodist Church (207 E 4th St, Glasford, IL 61533). A funeral service was held on Friday, January 24th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the same location.
