He was predeceased by: his son Eugene Bonnette; and his brothers, Harold Bonnette, Earl Bonnette and Ferd Bonnette. He is survived by: his spouse Dolores G. Kearney; and his children, Jack Bonnette (Beverly) of Phoenix, Joel Bonnette (Nancy) of Bloomington and Joy Dodd (Steve) of Pekin. He is also survived by twelve grandchildren; twenty-two great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; and one sister-in-law.
