He was predeceased by: his parents, William C. Wheeler and Edith Wheeler (Tresch); his grandson David Beimfohr; and his brothers, Ronnie Wheeler, Danny Wheeler and Earl Wheeler.

He is survived by: his wife Brenda Mock; his children, Rita Beimfohr (Hallie) of Pekin, Richie Wheeler of Pekin, Tanya Herberger (Gregor) of Pekin, Justin Wheeler of Pekin, Trina Freeman (Adam) of Pekin and Tracy Wheeler (Adam Piro) of Pekin; and his siblings, Jim McGinnis (Ann) of Westminster, Bill Wheeler (Rae) of Pekin, Joyce Nelson of Pekin and Carol Page (Tom) of Marion. He is also survived by 31 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter.
