She was predeceased by: her parents, Guy E. Mullins and Mildred Mullins (Sweeney); her husband Warren Calvin Benson; and her son Christopher Benson. She is survived by: her children, Brock Benson of Pekin, Julie Ervin of Pekin and Cathy Svendsen (Stephen) of Manito; and her close friend Chuck Ashley of Springfield. She is also survived by six grandchildren; and six great grandchildren.
