Michael Jay Carney Obituary

We are sad to announce that on August 9, 2024, at the age of 73, Michael Jay Carney of Pekin, Illinois, born in Peoria, Illinois passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parent J. B. Carney; his stepfather George Lohnes; and his brother Jim Carney. He is survived by: his mother Mona Lou Carney-Lohnes (Stokes); his children, Dave Carney (Jennifer) of Sullivan, Tim Carney (Tiffany) of Pekin, Ryan Carney (Nina) of Germany, Roman Carney (Kyla) of Chicago, Sara Mullen (Chris) of St. Peter's and Desiree Carney of Orlando Park; and his brother A. Lewis'Lew' Carney (Karen) of Pekin. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren; four great-grandchildren.
