She was predeceased by: her parents, Lawrence Valentine and Beulah Valentine (Myers); and her sisters, Geraldine Reeves, Grovine Stauffer, Joan Humes and Eloise Norton.
She is survived by: her husband Donald B. Michaelson; her children, Lonnie Michaelson (Karen) of Pekin and Linda Nierstheimer (Kim) of Pekin; her grandchildren, Lisa Taphorn (Pat) of Pekin, Ryan Michaelson (Amy) of Florissant, Greg Van Dyke (Kate) of Pekin, Jeff Van Dyke (A. J.) of Highlands Ranch and Abby Hill (Chip) of Pekin; and her great grandchildren, Nathan Taphorn, Carter Taphorn, Mikayla Michaelson, Jenna Taphorn, Justin Taphorn, Dylan Michaelson, Julianna Hill, Connor Hill, Avery Van Dyke, Grant Van Dyke, Duncan Hill, Livia Van Dyke and Lucas Van Dyke.
Visitation was held on Thursday, December 12th 2024 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory (500 N 4th St, Pekin, IL 61554). A funeral service was held on Friday, December 13th 2024 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Paul United Church of Christ, 101 North 8th Street, Pekin, IL 61554 or to the Pekin Park Foundation to benefit the Miller Center, 1501 Court Street, Pekin, IL 61554.
