She was predeceased by: her parents, George Gillespie and Vivian Gillespie (Harpster); her son Carl Patrick Engel; and her brother David Gillespie. She is survived by: her former husband Raymond Richard Engel; her sons, Jim Engel (Tina) of Woodward, Robert "Bob" Engel of Pekin and Mark Engel of Creve Coeur; her grandchildren, Tanner Engel of Woodward, Mike Engel of Woodward, Oklahama of Pekin, Michelle Engel of Pekin, Nikki Engel of Pekin, Adam Engel of Pekin and Carl Riley (Sandra) of Douglasville, Georgia; and her brother Edward Gillespie (Martha) of DeKalb. She is also survived by 11 great-grandchildren.
