She was predeceased by: her parents, Cecil Edward Otis and Maxine Marie Reese (Hedrick); and her siblings, Anzel Reese, Larry Reese, Jerry Reese and Betty Reese.
She is survived by: her former husband James H. Berger, Jr.; her children, William Joseph "Joe" Thompson of Pekin and Kimberly Dreisewerd (Isaac) of Bourbon, Missouri; her stepsons, Jarred Berger (Joy) of Park Hill, James Phillips (Stephanie) of Decatur, Chris Phillips (Becky) of Iowa and Tracy Phillips (Lori Bright) of Pekin; and her siblings, Edward Reese (Sue) of South Pekin, Vanessa Reese of Pekin, Judy Pyatt of Pekin and Valerie Brown (Greg) of North Pekin. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews and several great nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Preston-Hanley Funeral Homes & Crematory (500 N 4th St, Pekin, IL 61554). A funeral service was held on Thursday, January 16th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
