We are sad to announce that on April 2, 2025 we had to say goodbye to Dorothy Gean Hurt in Pekin, Illinois. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

Though Dorothy Gean may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Dorothy Gean touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.

She was predeceased by: her parents, William Meyer and Mary Meyer (Modendricker). She is survived by: her husband William "Bill" Hurt; and her children, Sharon Hanson of Michigan, Karen McKean (Jim) of Pekin, Shannon Lewis (Vern) of Pekin and William Hurt (Janet) of Morton. She is also survived by eight grandchildren, and 14 great-grandchildren.
