He was predeceased by: his parents, Gerald Lee and Amelia Allen (Rockett); his son Troy Allen; his siblings, Monroe Allen, Donald Allen, Jackie Lee Allen, Janis Ward and Phyllis Morsch; and his siblings-in-law, Edward Schimmelpfennig, Ann Richmond, Mabel Look, Jackie Buff and Mary Andrews.

He is survived by: his wife Betty Lou Schimmelpfennig; his daughter Stacey Lynn Allen of Princeton, Minnesota; his grandchildren, Ian Allen, Steven Fredrickson, Elizabeth Fredrickson and Abagail Fredrickson; his great grandchild Everett Dean Fredrickson; his daughter-in-law Gaylynn Allen of Groveland; his siblings-in-law, Robert "Buzz" Schimmelpfennig (Dar) of Morton and Connie Schimmelpfennig of Morton; and his friends, Ron, Bill, Pete and Jack.
