He was predeceased by: his parents, George Wagner and Myrtle Wagner (Halsey); and his siblings, Fred, Donald, Vernon "Bob", George, Bruce Wagner, Eileen, Susan, Bethel Schmidgall and Darlene Meskimen.
He is survived by: his former wife Janice K. Lindsey; his children, Kevin Wagner (Penny) of Pekin, Kent Wagner of Pekin and Taunya Drowns (TJ Estes) of Pekin; and his grandchildren, Chris Wagner of Pekin, Kala Wagner of Pekin, Joshua Wagner (Hanna) of Wisconsin, Mallory Wagner of Pekin, Chase Wagner of Pekin, Connor Drowns of Pekin and Austin Calloway of Pekin. He is also survived by eight great-grandchildren.
