With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Robert Melvin Mielke of Pecatonica, Illinois, born in Savanna, Illinois, who passed away on May 16, 2021 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Ernest Mielke and Hazel Mielke (Hicks); his wife Rose Hastings; his siblings, Edward Mielke (Isabelle), LaVerne Mielke (Emily), Virgil Mielke, Margaret Dauphin (Palmer), Lepha Yeager (Allen), Francis Clark, Irma Rosenwald (Raymond), Olga Haas (Lloyd) and Marilyn DePue (Leon); and his grandson Daniel Mielke.
He is survived by: his children, Sharon Krise (Kelvin) of Pecatonica, Susan Reilly (Thomas) of Coal Valley, Gary Mielke (Cindi) of Ridott, Gerald Mielke (Jessie Allen) of Ridott and Theresa Klenz (Mark) of Rock City; and his sister-in-law Ruth Mielke of San Antonio, TX.. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren, over 30 great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established in his memory.
