With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Mary Van Vleck of Pecatonica, Illinois, born in Rockford, Illinois, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on November 2, 2024 at the age of 62. Though her name may fade from the lips of time, the imprint Mary Van leaves upon the hearts of her loved ones remains eternally vivid — a testament to the depth of her spirit and the richness of her legacy.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Claude Murray and Helen Murray (Lasee); her in-laws, Shirley and Donald Van Vleck; and her siblings, Patrick Murray and Patsy.
She is survived by: her husband Steve; and her son Austin (Emily) of Sioux Center, Iowa.. She is also survived by Numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation was held on Saturday, November 9th 2024 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the McCorkle Funeral Home-Pecatonica Chapel (203 W 5th St, Pecatonica, IL 61063). A memorial service was held on Saturday, November 9th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to the family.
