He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Patricia Hutter (Mayer) and Don Heckman; his wife Jeri Beth Heckman (Sartorius); his daughter Melissa Highfill (Jim); his grandsons, Connor and Seamus Highfill; his brothers, Bruce Heckman (Janet Guffey) and Scott Heckman (Nancy); his stepsiblings, Terri Lee Carle (Scott) and Brian Hutter (Denise); and his brother Kurt Heckman. He was also cherished by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins; and special friends.
A celebration of life was held on Sunday, March 30th 2025 from 12:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the Pecatonica American Legion (403 Main St, Pecatonica, IL 61063).
