She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Gerhard Herman and Pearl Mae Manus (Janssen); her children, Lyle Bruning (Lezlie) of Coal Valley, Linda Van Haften (Dale) of Hamburg, MN and Lisa Bronkema (Gary) of Forreston; her grandchildren, Jennifer Van Haften, David Van Haften (Sandra), Julie Van Haften, Ricky Van Haften, James Van Haften, Anthony Van Haften, Corrina Jones (Harley), Ashley Van Haften, Jacob Van Haften, Eric Bruning (Allissa), Kurtis Bruning (Kara), Cory Bruning (Hilary Springman), Eden Henigan (Alex), Tanner Bronkema (Kelsey), Brady Bronkema, Whitnie Van Utrecht (Brian) and Brendon Rush (Jacquel); her siblings-in-law, Hazel Peters, Mary Manus and Ronald Wiese; her husband Les Bruning; her grandson Devin Bronkema; and her brother George Manus. She was also cherished by twenty great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers memorials will be established for the Silver Creek Reformed Church and the German Valley Historical Society.
