He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Kampen and Marian Kampen (Doty). He is survived by: his wife Nancy Kampen of Pecatonica, IL; his daughters, Katherine Kampen of Green Bay and Karalyn Kampen Nimmo; and his grandchildren, Jacob Leiden, Katelyn Leiden, Nathaniel Leiden, Helaina Nimmo, Sofia Nimmo and Fiona Nimmo.
