She was predeceased by: her parents, Christiaan Byl and Florence Byl (Wolf); her daughter Norma Lestikow; her brothers, Christiaan "George" Byl, Jr. and Mervin Byl; and her half-brother Russell Wolf.
She is survived by: her husband Robert Shippy; her children, Perry Shippy of Pecatonica, Nancy Kleindl (Randy) of Davis, IL, Norine Ehrler (Robert) of Freeport and Tammy Sager (Eric) of Lena, IL; her grandchildren, Faith Lincicum (Kevin), Matthew Lestikow, Brian Kleindl (Cindy), Chuck Manske (Melissa), Miranda Schulenberg (Dave), Dallas Shippy (Amanda), Stacey Sager and Scarlett Sager; her great grandchildren, Quinn Lincicum, Aidan Lincicum, Owen Lincicum, Peggy Lestikow, Christopher Lestikow, Sarah Hauri (Aaron), Nikki Manske, Natalie Manske, Mason Schulenberg, Valerie Schulenberg, Kylie Shippy and Natalie Shippy; her son-in-law Russell Lestikow; and her siblings, Lyle Byl, Mary Mitchell (Everette), Imogene Pieper and Lucy Runte.
