She was predeceased by: her parents, Raymond Shafer and Mabel Shafer (Robinson); her daughters, Deborah Van Matre and Karen Tipton; her grandson Jamon "Jake" Van Matre; and her son-in-law Darryl Van Matre.
She is survived by: her husband Robert J. Gibler; her sons, Ken Gibler (Sue) of Durand, Ray Gibler (Denise) of Winnebago, Neil Gibler (Christine) of Winnebago and Robert Gibler (Tammy) of Pecatonica; and her close friend Betty Laymeyer. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 16 great-grandchildren, three great-great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established in Dawn's memory.
